We are located in the city of Irondale in Jefferson County Alabama. We are a community of 64 homes located on a large circle formed by two roads, River Brook and Stonebridge, with River Brook Road providing the only entrance into the neighborhood. This design provides for easy access while limiting any unnecessary traffic. From our entrance onto Overton Road, it is less than 2 miles in either direction to entrances onto the I-459 southern bypass around Birmingham yet with the neighborhood lying on the southern slope of the second ridge separating it from I-459 it is still a very quiet place to live. The rear border of the neighborhood is formed by the Cahaba River which is one of the primary water sources for the city of Birmingham. There are several nice walks to the river from the neighborhood. With a large area of essentially undeveloped land south of us, it is not unusual to see an occasional deer wandering through the neighborhood or one of our beautiful hawks soaring overhead.</font></p> <p> We are located in Jefferson County Alabama in the city limits of Irondale. Irondale is serverd by the Jefferson County school system which is planning to build a new middle school in Irondale in addition to the New Shades Valley High School which hosts the International Baccalaureate School Irondale is a suburb of Birmingham Alabama and offers easy access to the city in minutes. Our Community consists of approximately 64 homes. We have a very active neighborhood association that sponsors many community events such as our annual Garage Sale and 4th of July parade and BBQ Cook-Off. This years Garage Sale was a great success with over 15 homes participating. Our web page will list any real estate sales in our neighborhood as homes become available. Turnover in home ownership is very slow which makes for a great participation in our association, but doesn't make the real estate agents very happy :-)</P> </body>
